Gumdex
A Pokémon TCG Living Dex tracker: one card for every Pokémon, across English, Japanese and Chinese prints.

Gumdex is a free collection tracker for Pokémon TCG collectors working toward a Living Dex, which means owning at least one card for every Pokémon species. Most trackers are organized by set, while Gumdex is organized by species: progress is measured against the National Pokédex, and every Pokémon has one timeline of every card printed for it in English, Japanese and Chinese, so any print in any language can fill its slot.
Collectors mark cards as owned, pick a favorite card for each Pokémon and keep a wishlist. They can also run separate lists, such as a Japanese-only Dex or an Eeveelution binder, and share read-only progress with a link or an email invite. Beyond the Dex there is a set checklist for fast entry while sorting packs, a search of card illustrations by place, theme and background cameo, pages for more than 400 card illustrators, and market prices with collection value. Cards with no good image can get one from collectors, who upload photos that are reviewed before they go live.
Gumdex also works from Claude and ChatGPT through a connector. A collector can photograph a stack of cards, have the assistant read them, and confirm each print before it is added to their collection.
The app is a phone-first Next.js 16 App Router site in TypeScript and Tailwind 4, on Postgres (Supabase) with Drizzle. Row-level security covers every table. The derived catalog counts are materialized views, so progress pages stay fast on a small database. A separate ingest package keeps the multi-language card catalog in sync each week. Card images are served from Cloudflare R2, and the public catalog pages are rendered at build time.

Designed and directed by Stuart and built with Claude Code. Product decisions, the data model and architecture decision records were set by hand, and AI agents carried out the implementation, tests, migrations and catalog ingestion under review.
